About the Port of San Pedro de Macoris

The port of San Pedro de MacorĂ­s is located at the mouth of the Higuamo River on the southern coast of the island of Hispaniola, about 70 kilometers east of Santo Domingo.

This port is mainly used for the export of bulk and bagged cement, clinker, sugar, molasses and bagged fertilizer. It is also used to import bulk fertilizers and wheat, for fuel oil unloading tankers at the floating power plant, and white goods. LPG to tanks in the anchoring facilities with CBM systems from the companies Coastal and Cogentrix.
