It is located in the extreme southeast end of the Caucedo peninsula, south of the ports of Boca Chica and Caucedo.

AES Andrés is a private port used for the import, storage and distribution of liquefied natural gas (LNG). It is an open port, without protection towards the Caribbean Sea.
